"I have been going to David and Dr. Kim since 1986. He is the only dentist I will let touch my mouth. They are honest and they will always be up front with me. I really like the girls in the front office also. He hires the best!!! Their prices are the same as other dentists. The equipment is state of the art. I like the way they decrease the pain of any shots that has to be put in my mouth. Do you want to pay for dental work that will have to be redone in a few years? If you do, do not go to this office. They always use the best and the most cost effective treatment."
"Friendly and knowledgeable staff, it’s an easy process from start to finish. The dental hygienists are awesome, and do a great job. I have seen both dentists there and I would recommend them both, Dr. Koelker and Dr. Kim. The front office staff does a lot to make sure I am able to schedule and change appointments if needed, and have even reached out after hours via text to double check my insurance several nights before my appointment, to see if I needed to switch to private pay to make sure I wasn’t potentially billed beyond my limits. That’s great service."

"We are new to this dental practice. Dr. Kim is amazing. I am so anxious when I visit the dentist. Dr. Kim put me at ease right away. He kept checking on me throughout my treatment to insure I was breathing and was as relaxed as possible. I had a rather involved treatment, but he numbed me so well, I honestly felt no pain, and he was rather quick. I highly recommend him. The entire staff is helpful and courteous. "I've been going to Dr. Bishop's office since my first appointment as a child and for almost 30 years now. Nothing has changed other than relocating from Greenville Ave to the beautiful new building off US 75. The staff and dental hygienists are exceptional. Can't say I've ever had a poor/painful cleaning. It doesn't matter if you see Dr. Bishop, Kim, or Koelker. They are all excellent, professional, and make you feel comfortable to visit the dentist. Lastly, they are always very informative and guide you towards treatments they recommend. They don't push you or make you feel obligated to move forward with a procedure in means to make money. Visit The Dentist of Allen, and don't worry about switching dentists ever again."

Even the very experienced oral surgeon that had to do some of my work stated that the quality and craftsmanship of the work I had done by Dr. Kim was better than 95% of what he’s seen in his career. "My first appointment was beyond my expectations. The office personnel were very welcoming, professional and very polite. The facility looks like a European villa. The dentist (Dr. Kim) was very personable, professional and answered all my questions. The dental hygienist, Christina was excellent, I could tell she loves her job. I don't recall having a cleaning like this in years. She literally made me feel great. I would definitely recommend this place to whoever is looking for a new dentist or moving recently to the area."
"I had a wonderful experience as a new patient. I was attended by Christina, a dental hygienist. When I told her my areas of concern, she was attentive and gentle. The practice itself is technologically advanced with x-rays and 3-d scans of your mouth to assess if one is eligible for invisalign or braces. Dr. Kim was kind and also attentive, and even recommended me to another doctor for braces evaluation. At the end of my appointment, Dr. Kim and Christina gave me informative recommendations to improve on my dental concerns. I would definitely recommend going to this practice over others I have attended in the past."

"Dr Kim has been amazing all the years I’ve been going to him. He encouraged me gently to get my upper and later, my lower, teeth crowned. It’s called doing your “Smile” line. I am amazed at how great my teeth look. He spent an hour with me on this last visit after doing the bottom row getting my bite just right. I was worried I was being too picky (or worse, annoying) but he just kept working. Also, he allowed my to do the light sedation which made it all painless and stress free. Highly recommend!"

On my recent visit, Taylor did the cleaning and x-rays and she also did a great job. I've been a patient of Dr Bishop (and of Dr Kim) for 20 years and for good reason. Having been a certified RDA ten years ago and out of the office for almost 3 years from any routine check ups I chose Dr. Kim by a family referral and couldn't have been happier with the choice. From start to finish (minus the confusing bit of which door to walk into when I was running late int he rain) I loved my experience. Paula, couldn't have made my appointment more comfortable. She was kind, thorough, attentive, efficient and friendly - which is different than kind - in my opinion. She made the process completely enjoyable. Yes, Enjoyable! I loved my x rays - my 3-D imaging and my photos. It gave me the most distinguished and distinct feedback I've ever received. Dr. Kim was friendly, fast and informative. "What a great experience. The team at the Dentist of Allen were great. Service was excellent, the staff (Dean and Cristina) was extremely knowledgeable and Dr. Kim was great, patient, and took his time to make sure I was informed with what to expect moving forward. Dean was a great hygienist and was also incredibly knowledgeable. He made me feel very comfortable. I felt very much at home and comfortable which is not the norm for a dental visit. I was taken care of and felt that I was not being sold something I did not need. Everything was explained and I walked away feeling great about finding a dentist I can bring my entire family to."

"I was referred by my fiancé to visit since I moved up to McKinney with him. Also just delivered our first child 5/11. My fiancé has been there for Dr. Kim DDS since he first start having teeth. I needed tooth number #17 & #32 (wisdom teeth) out because it had swollen and started to disturb my second molar. I called and the front office did their best to fit me in that same day! Rachel was awesome! She fit me in with Dr. Kristopher Koelker the next morning to sedate and surgically remove teeth. He was amazing! I didn't feel his shots at all! They took very good care of me. Also since I breastfeed they were able to prescribe medication that fits well! I will be coming here for future visits! Their out of network cost isn't as bad as I thought even with the insurance I had. The staff has been working there for a very long time. There is a bit of character in the office itself from each dentist you can ask Dr. Bishop!They are very knowledgeable, friendly, and have been in practice for a very long time. Everything was clean, equipment looks up to date, and sanitized. These are things I look for when I enter a dentistry. I would recommend in a heart beat."

"I have been to several dentists in my lifetime. And, about 2 years ago, I met a beautiful girl who worked at Neiman Marcus and I had to ask her about her teeth. She told me about Dr.Kim, and I immediately made an appointment.When you walk into that wonderful building, you think to yourself, "Yup. This is one of those narcissistic fee-for-service-physicians that don't take insurance..." WRONG they take insurance, and do a wonderful job. I swear I suffer from panic attacks whenever I visit the dentist, but there is some sort of way that Dr.Kim maneuvers the needle, that you never feel it. He is quick, and he does not dance around to other patients due to being overbooked like I have seen other dentists. He gives you total, and complete undivided attention. Not only is he fast, but he does WONDERFUL work. I cannot possibly tell you how pleased I am with the entire office, and especially the work of Dr. Kim. I would also like to mention that I am not a fan of fluoride, and although they do not agree with my perspective, they took measure to order special non-fluorinated cleaning paste for my daughter and me.Thank you for your wonderful service Dr. Kim and your team.Lifetime patient."

Even after moving to different parts of the metroplex, we will not go anywhere else. Both dentists are great. I personally prefer Dr. Kim while my mother prefers Dr. Bishop. We both always see Dean as our hygienist. He's very personable and does his best to try not to put you in too much discomfort, and he always remembers anything special, for example, I had surgery and he remembers so I don't have to explain the screws and plates in the X-rays. Their new office is very nice too."
